Thanks Marcus, for the nice article!
Week 2 of the live shows aired Monday night on “The Voice” Season 13, with soul artist Janice Freeman representing Team Miley Cyrus in the Top 11. For the first time this season fans saw Freeman belt out a rock performance, Collective Soul‘s “Shine.” Do you think Freeman did good enough to advance to the Top 10? Watch Freeman’s performance from “The Voice” 2017 live shows above.
Our writer John Benutty live-blogged the episode, and as he proclaimed, “I am totally digging rocker Janice! She sounds smooth and natural on this track and looks great with a full band at her side. She was born to be a frontwoman!”
Back in her blind audition, Freeman performed “Radioactive” and had two coaches turn their chairs around: Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson. The next time we saw Freeman in the battle rounds, she and Katrina Rose sang “W.O.M.A.N” and Freeman was declared the winner by her coach Cyrus. In the knockouts Freeman was paired up against Karli Webster and Freeman prevailed thanks to her performance of “I’m Goin’ Down.” Freeman’s rendition of “Fall For You” in the playoffs was good enough to send her through to the live shows. She sang “The Story” during Top 12 week.
